A Regular Weiß KreuZ Story

“Weiß, in the last year the rise of Bitsuku Industries has grown enormously. Mainly
because the Vice President Naishin Undo & his assistant Suzau Kouji have been running an
underground slave ring to bring in extra profits. They are the targets & are usually
found gambling. On this mission, you will meet your new member. Code name is Calico.
Barman will fill in the rest. White hunters in the dark, hunt the dark beasts of
tomorrow.”
Omi flipped the switch & the lights came on. Barman stepped forward with the case
file in hand.
“How will we know who this Calico is?” asked Ken from his chair.
“You’ll know. Any other questions?” They shook their heads. “Are you ready?”
Aya moved his head a little from his position against the wall. “Haa.”

In minutes, they were in front of one of the many gambling buildings where they had
been spotted at recently. It didn’t take long to find them in the back. Omi was going to
attack 1st, but was stopped by the lights shutting off & someone, who came down from the
ceiling on a thread all in black. The person threw up their arms & under the hand out of
the sleeve was a shine of something metal. The person began to run at Naishin & Suzau.
Getting both of them in the throat with the metal object & pulling it out a moment later.
Then, they fell to the ground, dead.
From where they stood Aya stepped forward. “Who are you?” he questioned.
“Weiß. I am Calico.” Then that person turned around, “Pleasure to meet you.” 4-23-2001
	“You’re Calico?” questioned Omi.
	Calico nodded.
	“I’m Ken. That’s Omi & Yohji.”
“Aya. So, why have you joined Weiß?” he asked.
“I have my reasons...Shall we get going?”
“Are you going to be staying with us?” asked a concerned Yohji.
“Not yet. See ya on the next case.” The figure disappeared as mysteriously as they
had come.
So, the boys got home & soon after went to sleep.

The following morning, Koneko no Sume Ie was swamped with girls, as usual. A new
girl walked in. She had waist length blonde hair, & violet eyes. Yohji was moved to
stand up & see what she wanted.
“Can I help you, Miss? There are many beautiful flowers for such a beautiful lady,”
he replied.
She looked at him a moment. Then, over to the others, “I would like to apply for a
job. My name is Shinyama Rin.”
	“Apply-” Omi started.
“For a job?” Yohji finished with a sour look on his face.
	“Yes, are you hiring?”
“For you, we are,” said Aya.
	“WHAT!?” the other three exclaimed.
“Good. Then, I will see you tomorrow. Jaa.” She walked out & disappeared down the
street. Omi, Yohji & Ken just stood their jaws dropped to the floor. Aya went back to
work watering the flowers.

That night, it rained. Omi surfed the net & Ken watched TV. Aya brooded in front
of his upstairs window. Just when we thought this was going to be a happy ending, some-
thing like this happens...Aya has disappeared again. Kidnapped. I must find her.
Yohji was laying oh his bed staring at the ceiling & smoking a cigarette. His hands
were folded over his bare chest. Why are we back here again? Didn’t we give this up?
Twice? & Who is Calico?...Why is he joining us? Hmm...There is something about him that
just doesn’t seem right. Yohji stood up & pulled open his window letting the rain hit him
in this face & chest. “Something deeper...”

The following evening Manx & Barman came with the next assignment.
“Here,” said Barman as she handed it to Ken. “That’s all we know. It was hard
enough just to get what we have. Manx, do you have anything to add?”
“We think they might know where Aya-chan is...”
Aya stood up. “Aya! I’ll go.”
“Count me in,” muttered Yohji. “We can’t have Aya going in all by himself & taking
all the glory.”
“Don’t worry about that. Calico will be on this mission too,” replied Barman.
“Oh,” Yohji’s face soured. “Yeah, that will help,” he muttered.
“Are you in, Omi? Ken?” asked Manx.
They nodded. & Then they were gone.

Calico watched the white hunters enter the dark building where their prey lay.
Calico smiled & jumped into the night.
They took a few steps forward & the lights came on. Aya threw out his arm to stop
them from moving forward. “Something is wrong here.”
All of a sudden, men came out of nowhere & surrounded them. In moments, they were
ready to fight. Aya ran through them making sure to get every one of them on his way. The
other three soon followed. Calico followed in behind them. They entered a large room &
the doors shut behind them. Schwartz jumped down from above in front of them. Nagi threw
his hands out & used his telekinesis to throw Ken & Omi into the wall. Yohji & Aya were on
the ends & had moved out of the way.
Calico ran out of the shadows & jumped into the air throwing something metal. It
hit Nagi in the arm breaking his concentration; the metal object flew back to Calico. Omi
& Ken were released & fell to the floor. Calico landed & caught the metal object. Then,
Calico took off running again. Yohji watched & noticed that he saw some skin near the
ankle. He was shocked at what he recognized.
“Yohji kun, watch out!” yelled Calico.
Yohji backed off just enough to miss Schuldig’s punch. Then, he ducked down & did
an upper cut. Schuldig easily dodged it.
“Ran kun, Yohji kun, Omi kun, Ken kun, you need to get out of here, now!” yelled
Calico from the top of the room. “RUN!” Then, Calico threw the metal objects again, but
against the roof cracking & breaking it. It began to fall to the floor. They moved out
of the way & got one of the doors open. Yohji was the last to leave & he looked up at
Calico. Until we meet again, my sweet, he said to himself & took off after the others. 4-25-2001
After the others had gone to bed, Yohji sat on the edge of his bed; his head was in
his hands. He had the window open & a light breeze filled the room. Without realizing it
he laid back & closed his eyes.
“Yohji...Yohji? Did I ever tell you about my sister?” Asuka asked.
“I didn’t even know you had a sister,” replied Yohji.
“She’s almost as crazy as I am. But she doesn’t look anything like me. I should
introduce you to her when she comes back from America.”
“Why is she in America?” he asked, curious.
“She wouldn’t tell me, but she’s been gone for over two years. I think that’s where
she met her boyfriend...”

“Yohji kun, get up! It’s almost noon,” stated Omi as he opened the door. Yohji
rolled over & opened an eye. I fell asleep...Why did I dream about that?...
Yohji came down the stairs after Omi & he saw that Rin was there. “Rin-chan?”
She turned to look at him, and then went back to what she was doing. Yohji ran a
hand through his hair & went over to the pot & got a cup of coffee. He decided that he
would wait, biding his time. Aside from the ruckus of the people that came in & out, all
of them were pretty silent. Three times Yohji tried to talk to Rin, but failed. She just
didn’t respond, to any of these attempts. After a while, he thought that maybe he was
wrong, maybe he was just seeing things.
Soon, it was time for the shop to close & Rin to be leaving. Yohji saw he out,
leaving the others in confusion.
“Can I please speak with you?” he asked as he let the door close behind him.
Rin spun around & stared him in the eye her face was cold. “Yohji san, I have
nothing to say to you. You should have nothing to say to me-.”
He grabbed her by the wrist she squirmed in his grip.
	“Let me go!”
“Iie. I have something to ask you...”
She tugged away from him, harder this time. He noticed something when she did, a
cross necklace had slipped out of her shirt & now lay on top of it.
“What’s that?” he asked as he pointed to it.
Rin looked down & quickly broke free of his grasp to hide it again. Yohji just
stood there; he knew something was up, because she had broken free of his grasp very
easily even though he was applying a lot of his force.
“Why won’t you talk to me? I haven’t done anything to you...Or have I?”
Rin looked back up at him, he face seemed sadder this time than angry. “I have my
reasons, Yohji san.”
Yohji suddenly had a flashback to the other night...“Aya. So, why have you joined
Weiss?” he asked.
“I have my reasons...Shall we get going?”
	“It is you! You’re Calico!”
Rin’s eyes widened in shock. “What?...How...”
“I noticed last night that you were wearing low cut shoes...I saw your ankles &
recognized them belonging to you. I can always tell a woman be her legs.”
Rin bit her lip saying, “I knew I wore the wrong shoes...”
“But, you also said that you have your reasons, the same way you did the other
night. You put on quite a farce. You even had me, the lady’s man, fooled. Bravo.”
“I wasn’t trying to fool you. It’s just easier to be one of the guys, rather than
the outcast girl.”
Yohji threw his arms quickly around her & held her tight. She didn’t move shocked
by what he had done. “You don’t have to fool me, because I would never treat you as an
outcast.”
Rin pushed away from him a moment later, “I need to go now. It’s getting late.”
“I’ll see you on the next mission.”
Yohji watched Rin as she walked down the street, every once in awhile her hair was
lit up by a streetlight as she passed under it. When she was finally lost in to the
darkness he let his head drop & he stared at the concrete. “What is she hiding? Why
won’t she tell me?”
“Because she can tell no one.”
Yohji looked up to see Aya leaning against the wall. He was looking nowhere in
particular.
“She reminds me of myself, maybe that’s why I saw through her faster than you did.
She’s closed, something happened to her to make her this way. If you want to hear her
talk, then you have to open up 1st.”
Yohji stared at Aya as he thought about what he said. “Of course. That makes
sense...Why didn’t I think of it?”
“Because you were too busy being wrapped up in getting the information out of her.
Come on, Barman is waiting.”
They went on the next mission, which took them to the park area. Yohji fought as
everyone else did, but Calico did not show. After the target was eliminated, they took
off in the van. Yohji remained silent.
“I wonder why Calico didn’t show up,” said Omi.
Yohji turned his head to the window.
“Yeah, that’s very odd, since we saw him on both of the last missions,” stated Ken.
	Yohji lowed his head.
“Do you think something happened to him?” asked Omi.
Yohji waited a moment, anger on his face. Then he turned around to face Omi & Ken
in the back. “You don’t know anything, do you!?” he yelled, then spun back around &
opened the car door & jumped out. Omi & Ken just stared at one another; Ken was about to
go after him when Aya motioned for him not too. The rest of the ride pasted in silence.

“Yohji has been a little more down then usual, wouldn’t you say?” Omi said to Aya.
“He’s having some problems right now. We all have...” Aya trailed off thinking of
his sister.
Yohji stumbled down the steps & got a cup of coffee, then sat down at the table.
After a moment he replied, “Where’s Rin-chan?”
“She called off today. Said she wasn’t feeling too well,” replied Omi. He took a
sip of his tea. “Sounded like she was crying, but I wasn’t sure. I told her to come when
she was feeling better.”
“Where does she live?” Yohji asked loudly.
Omi wrote it down on a piece of paper & handed it to Yohji who grabbed his jacket on
his way out the door. He jumped into his car & started the engine. Then, he took off down
the street.
It didn’t take him long to find the apartments he was looking for, he ran up the
steps to her door & knocked.
“Rin-chan. Please open the door. I want to talk to you.” He waited, but there was
no reply. Next, he pounded on the door. Then he let his head fall against the cool wood.
“I don’t know what I’ve done, but I want to set things right. Please, just let me speak
with you. Say something, talk to me.”
	“Go away!”
“No! I’m not going to leave until you see me,” yelled Yohji as he stared at the
door. He fell silent again & heard the click of the lock as the door unlocked & opened a
crack. He quickly opened it & walked in shutting it behind him. He leaned back against
the door as he saw Rin sitting on a chair facing the door. Her head was down, so he
couldn’t see her face. Was she crying? He wondered.
“So! What did you want to talk to me about?” she asked.
She has been crying, but why? Well, there’s only one way to find out.
“I thought that it might be a good idea to open up & tell you a little about myself.
Maybe, it will help you to feel better,” replied Yohji as he kneeled down in front of her. 4-28-2001
“I don’t see how it would,” she said coldly.
“Then, maybe it wouldn’t feel like you are alone. I use to have someone very close
to me when I was a P.I. Her name was Asuka & I thought I died when I watched her fall
after being shot...”
“You watched your loved one died in front of you?” Rin asked in a far away voice.
“Yes, or so I thought, but even now I don’t know if Noi was really Asuka or not. I
believed it was she even though she was a member of Schreient & my enemy. Even though I
had to kill her with my wire. I cried so many times thinking that I killed Asuka, my
partner, my friend, my love.”
Rin turned her head up to look at him, into his jade green eyes. Yohji smiled
softly at her & smiled a little back.
“A smile suits your lovely face far more than a frown. I hope you know that.”
Rin didn’t say anything, but she stood up & slowly strolled to the window. She
gazed out into the streets & then she spoke, “I never even got to see him again before he
died. I told him he shouldn’t go this time that something was wrong. He thought he could
handle it...A lot like you, maybe that’s why I can’t talk to you, can’t be near you...
You’re too much like him...” she began to sob quietly. Yohji got up from where he was &
walked up behind her. He slowly wrapped his long, thin arms around her. It only seemed to
upset her more. “He’s gone. I can’t bring him back, can never see his smile again. I am
alone, Yohji san. I AM alone.” She suddenly stopped. Then, spun around & pushed him
away. “I AM ALONE. Nothing is going to change that. Now get out, we’ve had our chat &
now it’s done. So, it’s time for you to go.”
	“Rin-chan-” Yohji started.
“& Don’t call me that. I hate that. I’m just trying to be one of the guys. I’m
either Rin kun or Rin san.” She pushed him again closer to the door. “Go. GO!”
Yohji got to the door & put a hand on it turning his head. 4-29 He saw the
anger all over her face. “When the others find out who you are, are you going to join us
at Koneko no Sumu Ie?”
Rin stopped, thinking. “IF they find out & you can’t tell them. Got it?”
Yohji nodded & pulled open the door. He smiled over at her, “Thanks.”

Aya went out that night, to do a sweep of the city. He started this routine almost
right after his sister went missing again At 1st the others were against it, but after
awhile they didn’t even seem to notice. He had to do what he had to do to find her.
He stopped on the top corner of a building & looked down. After a moment, he
noticed someone was behind him. He spun around to see Calico there.
“Don’t worry. It’s just me. How’s the search going?”
“Not good. If only I had a lead of some sort. If only...” Aya trailed off.
“You’re doing your best & that’s what matters. You’ll find her.”
“So why are you out here? I thought that you were going to disappear again. Yohji
kun too much for you to handle?”
Calico looked away & didn’t say anything.
“I knew it. The 1st time I saw him look at you I knew there was going to be
problems-.”
	“There’s no problem. Period.”
Aya turned away & smiled a little. “That’s what you think,” he whispered.
“What was that, Ran kun?” Calico questioned.
“Nothing. Are you coming with me on my round?”
Calico only nodded & they jumped out of site.

Omi was at the computer, as usual, but he was looking up some personal information
on their new hire. “Let’s just see if you are who you say you are.” He checked out
different databases & after almost 3 hours he still had next to nothing. Ken came up &
watched him for a little while, but after some time he went out for a walk. Omi decided to
try the Weiß base just for the hell of it.
Suddenly, she came up. Shinyama Rin, age 21, height 167 cm, hair blonde, eyes
violet, joined 3 years ago, reason unknown, nothing is known about Rin before 4 years ago.
Codename: Calico.
“Calico! Then, she is, the he &...oh wow. I wonder if anyone else knows about
this.” Omi shut down his computer & went upstairs.

Rin knocked on the door bright & early the following morning. Ken greeted her &
once in she found Omi sitting at the table. He looked up from his drink, his eyes widened
when he saw her. She smiled & sat down. Then, she glanced around the room.
“So where’s Yohji san & Ra-eh (cough) Aya san?” she asked.
Omi stood up, landing his cup down on the table, “I knew it. You know Aya kun’s
real name,” he finished just as Yohji came downstairs. “You’re Calico, aren’t you?” Ken
looked over at Omi, shocked.
Rin looked over at Yohji, he just stared back at her. After a moment, “Yes,” she
muttered. “I am Calico.”
“My research never fails. So, why isn’t there anything about you before 4 years ago
& why did you join Weiß?” Omi questioned. Ken still just stood there & Yohji had gotten
a cup of coffee. He strolled over to Rin & put a hand on her shoulder.
“I’m sure she’ll tell us when she’s ready. Let it be for now. You’ve learned
enough for today.”
Rin sat there & then quickly brushed Yohji’s hand away. “I don’t need your help, I
can take care of myself.”
“I know that. You just need a little encouragement sometimes.”
Rin had nothing to say to this & that’s when Aya walked in.
“Aya kun, we have something to tell you,” replied Omi.
	“He already knows,” muttered Rin.
Everyone turned to look at Rin whose face was lowered. “I knew about Ran kun before
I knew of any of you. He’s the one who told me.”
Now, everyone was even more confused, well, all except Ran, he just stood there
coolly & waited to see what would happen.
“If you guys are going to be asking questions all day, then I’m going to be
leaving,” Rin replied standing up. “I can’t have people poking into my affairs.”
Aya nudged Yohji a little. Yohji cleared his throat. “You shouldn’t go. My
colleagues will cease their actions.” He shot an evil glance at Omi & Ken. They just
stared at him.
“Fine.” Then, she sat back down. Aya brought her a cup of coffee & sat it in front
of her. She picked it up, “Arigatou.”
A few minutes later, they opened shop & there was a flood of girls. After a couple
hours of this & that, Rin just had to ask. She went up to Omi & whispered, “How do you
deal with all the attention?”
Omi smiled, “I’m so use to it, I barely even notice anymore. I’m just nice &
friendly, for some reason, that’s a big chick thing. I don’t even try to understand it.”
Then, he went back to work.
Rin shook her head & then ran her hand through her hair. Yohji came up behind her &
was looking at Omi when he said, “He’s the only one that gets that much attention. It
makes me sick.” Then, he made a pouty face & moved on. Rin made a face of confused
consideration.
For lunch, Rin decided to go out to eat. Yohji managed to con with way into going
with her. They stopped at an American style coffee shop. Then, sat down & ordered. Even
after they got their order, Rin didn’t say much, she just kind of stared out the window.
Yohji thought desperately to come up with something to start a conversation. Why am I
having so many problems with trying to talk to this one woman? I mean, come on, I’m Kudou
Yohji, the lady-killer. This should be a breeze for me.
“Um, so what...did you do for fun?”
“Fun? Heh. I don’t remember fun anymore. Before this entire thing started
happening I was going to become a painter. I was all ready to settle down, have a good
job, start a family...but all that changed...turned upside down...” She only seemed to get
more depressed.
“I’m sorry, I didn’t mean to upset you.”
“No, It’s my fault. I shouldn’t get into it so much. I have to be strong.”
Yohji put a hand over hers. “You don’t have to be strong all the time. It’s okay
to let others help you-.”
“NO! I have to be able to do it all on my own,” she snapped as she pulled her hand
away.
“Now wait a second. It’s different from being strong in a battle.”
	“I know that!”
“No, I don’t think you do, otherwise you wouldn’t be acting this way. Listen, I
know that it’s hard to let someone in, when so many close people have already left you. I
know that one pretty well, but you shouldn’t give up on everyone, just because you’re
feeling sorry for yourself.” He stood up & tossed some en down on the table. “Think
about it.” Then, he turned & walked out, lighting a cigarette & then shoving his hands in
his pockets. Rin watched him go & then looked down at the money & her drink.

“Please don’t go this time. I think something's wrong. Don’t make me beg.”
“I have to go, this is my job remember? I asked to take this guy on. & Now I think
we finally have him. I’ve been waiting a long time for this, you know that, Ame.”
“I know, I know. But this time...” she looked down. “Maybe I’m just worrying for
nothing.”
He kissed her forehead. “Ame, don’t worry. Everything will be just fine. I
promise. I need to get going now, but I should be home later. I love you.”
“I love you too.” He when to the door & opened it, he turned & looked back at her
with a smile.
“Everything will be as it should.” Then, he walked out.
Ame ran towards the door. “What did you mean by that? Don’t go! Please! RIN!”

Rin, why did you have to go, she said to herself. Why didn’t I stop him? It’s my
fault I could have saved him. I need to be strong...A thought of Yohji suddenly came to
head.
“You don’t have to be strong all the time. It’s okay to let others help you.”
Rin looked over at the window again, “I guess it is, if it makes you feel better.”

Crawford strolled up to a high back chair in an office room. “You wanted to see me,
Sir?”
“Yes, Crawford. I want you or your minions to go out & wreak some havoc on the
city. Especially around this building.” The man in the seat pulled out a photo. “Make
them think that you have someone captured or something, you can work out the details.
That is all.”
Crawford bowed a little, “Haa.” Then, he turned & walked out of the room.
The man in the chair lit a cigar & began to puff on it. Then, he folded his hands
in this lap. “I will get you yet, my elusive one.”

Aya sat down on the couch & put his arms behind his head. He sighed. Omi glanced
over his shoulder to see him. “Thinking about your sister again?” 5-6-2001
Aya moved only his eyes to look at him, but didn’t say anything.
Yohji was drinking coffee & puffing on a cigarette. He heard a soft knock on the
door. He got up & unlocked the door, upon opening it found Rin there with three suitcases.
	“Rin! What are you-”
“You won. Everyone found out, so here I am. I’ll just sleep in a chair or
something-.”
Now it was Yohji’s turn to cut her off. “No you will not! A lady in this house
will never sleep on a chair or something. You can sleep on my bed, I’ll sleep on the
chair.” Then, he picked up her suitcases. Having a little trouble because they were
heavier than they looked. & Carried then up stairs to his room. Opening the door he let
her walk inside 1st, then following her in he set the suitcases down in a free corner.
Then, he stepped next to her & followed her gaze to the open window with its fluttering
light curtains.
“Why do you like looking out windows so much?” Yohji asked out of curiosity.
“It’s not really the window as much as what is outside the window. It’s another
world out there. Sometimes, a world I don’t want to have to look at. A world that I’m
not really a part of.”
“Everyone is apart of the world. Go to the window, tell me what you see.”
Rin did as he asked. “I see a street, an old couple staying close on the sidewalk.
The streetlights staring hard on the concrete. So cold...It’s all so very cold.”
She began to step backwards away from the window when she bumped into Yohji, then in
front of her he pulled out a magnolia.
	“It’s your flower, isn’t it?”
She slowly took it in her hands. “Yes, but how could you know?”
He smiled sweetly, “I have my ways, beautiful.” 5-7-2001
Yohji had her lay down on the bed while he went he went & got drinks. She put her
hands behind her head & stared up at the ceiling. How many times has he too stared at
this ceiling thinking of ‘her’?
Yohji quickly came back up the steps & tripped into the room sending the cooling
coffee all over her. She quickly jumped up in reaction & took off for the bathroom. Yohji
grabbed one of his shirts & took off after her. She had already started a shower, so he
opened the door just enough to set the shirt on the hamper & went back to his room to clean
up the rest of the mess he made. He mumbled to himself about how stupid & clumsy he was.
Rin washed herself off, she wasn’t angry, she couldn’t understand why she wasn’t,
but she wasn’t. Maybe because it was more funny than anything him being the klutz because
he was trying so hard to be perfect. Besides, it’s not like it was expensive or new.
When she got out, she found a clean towel & shirt waiting for her. She dried, then
put it on & went back to Yohji’s room. He had fallen asleep on his couch after cleaning
up. The bed was prepared & he had laid a bundle of magnolias on it. She walked softly
over to him & gave him a kiss on the cheek. Then, she sat the flowers on the end table
next to the bed & fell fast asleep.
The next morning, Rin was last up & she came down the steps still in Yohji’s shirt.
Yohji was sitting down with his usual cup & the others were just kind of surprised.
“You’re wearing Yohji kun’s shirt!?” Omi exclaimed.
Rin looked down & just kinda shrugged. Then, they turned to Yohji, who looked up
from mid-sip. Then, he finished & replied, “It’s not what you think. She just got some-
thing spilled on her outfit & I gave her a shirt to change into. That’s all.”
They let out an “oh” in response & went back to what they were originally doing.
Rin stared a moment, thinking.
“Wait...you thought that he...& I..?” She suddenly burst out laughing. “No, it
wasn’t like that at all.” Still giggling she went over & also got a cup of coffee.
“That’s rich,” she muttered.
Yohji looked over at her, “What do you mean by, ‘that’s rich’?” 5-9-2001
“Oh, nothing. It’s nothing, really.” She let out a small giggle. 2001-6-22
The rest of the day went pretty loosely, Rin joked around with other guys well
except Yohji who was still a little miffed by the early morning ordeal. At one point Rin
came over to him & gave him a light slap on the back, he turned & she gave him a big grin,
the told him a tall order & walked away. Yohji at 1st thought that that was kind of mean
of her, but as he thought a bit harder he noticed that she had kicked back & was actually
having a good time, fun for lack of a better word.
She picked up the hose & started spraying everyone when things were slow. After
that, she wasn’t allowed to play with the hose anymore. The day pasted very quickly &
night fell. They closed up & went off & did their own thing.
Rin sat the table in the dark, just watching the shadows.

“The underground black-market dealer, Samuel King, was arrested tonight after a long
week of stake outs & a hostage situation, but not after killing 2 & injuring 7 in a large
scale shoot out. One of the dead is Chief Lin Kier & only after being chief for 5
months...”
Ame turned away from the television; she didn’t want to hear anymore. It had been a
week since that day that he had left to go on this mission of his. The day that she had
said for him not to, but he was gone now. Why didn’t she try harder to stop him, if she
had then maybe this wouldn’t have happened? That he would be with her right now &
everything would be okay. She got up & switched off the screen. Then opened the shade to
the window just enough to look out.
Down on the street there were people bustling about, going to work, going out with
friends, for a drink, for a fuck.
Fuck, Ame said to herself. He’s gone & I have no one. Maybe it’s time for me to go
back home.

“What are you doing here in the dark?” asked Yohji as he came in to get a drink.
Rin sighed. “Just thinking,” she replied.
“Thinking, eh? Too much thinking never was good for everyone,” muttered Yohji. He
came over & sat down next to her. He put one arm on the table & the other around the back
of her chair. “Anything you want to talk about?” he asked softly.
She looked away from him & kept her face down. “No, not really. I guess I’m just
not ready for this. I’ve been by myself for so long, I forgot what it’s like to be with
others. I don’t know what to do.”
“No one does sometimes. Don’t let it bother you. I mean, come on, look at me, I
have the toughest of time just trying to talk to you.”
“To me? Why?...Oh well, I think I know why, but I guess that was a lot of my fault.
I’m sorry.”
“You don’t need to apologize, you didn’t know that I was having trouble & you
probably wouldn’t have done much about it anyways. People change though, they see a new
light & something in them learns to do something different. It happens, as long as you
like what you change then it’s all for the better, right?”
	“Yeah, I guess so.”
Aya walked into the room completely dressed in his outfit. He got to the door when
Rin stopped him. “Are you leaving with out me?” she asked.
	“& If I am?”
“You’re not. You know I go with you…unless; you don’t want me to anymore, because
I’m here now.”
“Two minutes. Then you have to be ready or I’m going without you.”
Rin jumped up & took off up the stairs, almost moments later she returned in her
outfit. She walked past Yohji who grabbed her coat.
“So, you’re just going to leave.”
“It’s something that I do. I’ll be back later, don’t miss me or anything.” Then,
she had him let go & walked out with Aya.
After they had left, Yohji got up & stormed off to his room.

“Don’t you think that you left Yohji a little cold there?” Aya questioned as they
started.
“He’ll get over it. I’m not trying to impress anyone. If he doesn’t like it, then
tough.”
“I see…” He just kind of stared out at the street. “So, when are you going to say
what’s really bothering you? You know I don’t like it when you do this.”
Rin laughed a little. “I swear. You’re the only one that knows me. It’s that
friend of yours.”
“He’s no friend of mine. I just work with him,” Aya muttered.
“Very funny. He keeps thinking that if he talks to me, then I’m going to tell him
my life story or something. It’s almost pathetic.”
“I’ve never seen him like this over a girl before. He usually just goes through
women like paper. I think he’s the one that needs some talking. Since that run in with
Noi, he just was never quite the same; he closed himself off more than he was before. I
think that you’ve been good for him.”
	“What!?” Rin exclaimed.
“I do. He’s been a little more like his old self since you showed up. It’s almost
nice.”
He got to the next building & stopped, Rin stopped right behind him. “What’s wrong,
Ran?”
Aya pointed to a building’s roof a couple blocks away. Smoke was billowing up it.
	“A fire?”
	He nodded.
“Let’s go check it out then.”
“Let me tell the others 1st-.”
“We can handle it with out them.” She took off towards the blaze. Aya paused &
pulled out a communicator.
Ken picked up 1st. “Moshi mo-.”
“There’s a blaze. Here are the coordinates. Looks like we’ll need some help here.
Could be Schwartz.” Then, he hung up & went after Rin.
Yohji was right behind Ken when he took the message. He took off like lightning to
get dressed & get there.
“Yohji kun, wait for us,” replied Omi throwing his jacket on. Ken was putting his
gloves on. Now, they were on their way.
Rin & Aya got to the flaming building & found, yep, you guessed it, Schwartz.
Schuldig had Rin occupied with his speed & Farfello had Aya running around. Nagi watched
from the sidelines with a look of unpleasant boredom.
Yohji, Omi & Ken showed up just in time to see Aya get cut in his shoulder by Farf’s
stake. Yohji went towards Rin & Nagi threw him back just by raising his arm. He flew
across the street & through window landing on the floor. Rin spun her head around to
catch only half of what happened. She started to go after him when Schuldig was suddenly
in front of her. She pause a moment, then, went running straight for him & jumping up
putting her hands on his head & using it to springboard straight over him & continued
after Yohji. She flew through the hole that was once a window & put a hand on Yohji’s
chest.
“Yohji?” After a moment he moved a little & opened his eyes. He blinked up at her
a couple of times.
	“Rin?”
She nodded & helped him to his feet. After she got him back outside she leaned him
against the wall & went off to find Nagi. It didn’t take her long. He was fighting Omi,
well, more like throwing things back that Omi threw at him. Rin snuck around to his
backside. Then, she made a sprint towards him. When she was almost there someone called
out.
	“Watch out!”
Nagi flicked his head a little & a force slammed into Rin from the side & she
skidded on the pavement. She got half up & pulled out her weapon & threw it. It opened
to reveal a fan & swiped Nagi across the cheek & then back around to get his opposite arm
before coming back to her. Then, she flipped into the air & caught it bringing it down
right in front of his face. He was taken back by her forcefulness.
“Don’t ever hurt him again. Or I will have you’re life,” Rin threatened. Before
she could say anymore Schuldig appeared & got Nagi away from her blade.
“You should watch who you threaten, little girl,” he whispered.
Rin just kind of stopped, “How did you…”
Schuldig just smiled. Then, he jumped backwards away from her, everyone gathered at
one corner. “Until next time,” he replied as their ride came. They hopped in & drove
away. Rin fell to her knees with still a look of amazement.
“How…how could he possibly have known? I tried to hard to cover it up, but he knew,
as if…as if he had read my mind.”
Yohji slowly made his way over to her on the ground. He stumbled at the last moment
& fell over. Rin was by his side a moment later.
“Why did you do that, baka? You could have been killed-.”
“It would take more than that to kill me.”
“You’re impossible,” Rin muttered turning away from him. He put a hand on her
shoulder.
	“So are you.”

They went back to the apartment & rested, Rin helped Yohji climb the steps to get
upstairs. Once there she had him lay down on his bed while she went & got some damp
towels. She came back to the room & kneed down on the floor next to him. He tried to get
up, but she put a hand over him. “Don’t try to get up. You’ve been hurt.” Then, she put
one of the towels on his forehead. After, she unzipped his navy coat & pulled it open
quickly. Yohji jumped a little & looked over at her.
“Why are you doing this?” he asked.
Rin helped him to sit up so she could get the rest of the coat off saying, “Well, it
was my fault you got hurt. It’s the least I can do.”
Yohji set his hand down on her arm & gazed into her eyes. “You don’t have to do
anything for me. Yes, I got hurt coming after you, but it was my choice. I would do it
again too, if it meant that you’d be okay.”
Rin stopped completely & just stared. Then, she turned away. “How can you like me
so much, when all I’ve done is been nothing but bitchy to you?”
	“Easy, I love you.”
Then, he brought her to him in a passionate kiss.

This is all I have done for this one. I really need to get back to it.
